Out along the pipeline

The last leg of your journey runs across open country, where a new pipeline is going into the ground one length of pipe at a time. Behind the welding crew comes the inspection crew, and today that's you.

The crew chief speaks in shorthand all day, and the logbook is full of half-finished notes. Fill in the gaps and the job is yours.
